Houston to Olde Town in Granbury:

• From Houston, take US 290 northwest to Hempstead.
• Turn north on Texas 6 toward Bryan/College Station.
• Bypass Bryan/College Station and continue toward Waco.
• Continue through Waco toward Valley Mills and Meridian
  (It may be a little tricky staying on Texas 6 as you approach Waco.
  The road is under construction there and the route may not be well
  marked.  If you find yourself on US 77 after you cross I-35, you've
  gotten off Texas 6.  Take I-35 south about 6 miles to exit 330 and
  turn right onto Texas-6 [north/west] and continue to Meridian, TX.)
• As you come into Meridian, turn right on Texas 22 for about
  .7 miles then turn left on Texas 144.
• Continue on Texas 144 through Walnut Springs and Glen Rose to
  Granbury.  (Texas 144 enters Glen Rose on Austin Rd,  turns left on
  Elm St then right on Barnard St.  Texas 144 comes to a 'T' at a
  four lane road - US 67.  It continues to the right coincident with
  US 67 for just less than 1 1/2 miles then turns left toward
  Granbury.)
• Texas 144 becomes Morgan St when you enter Granbury. 
  Morgan St appears to stop at a 'T' at Pearl St. (Business 377 or
  377H); Martin's Funeral Home is on the near left corner. 
  Approach the intersection in the left lane and jog to the
  right to stay on Morgan St for one more block.
• Turn right on Bridge St and drive through town.
• 50 yards before Bridge St ends, turn left on Turner Circle.

Granbury to Houston:

• From Granbury, go south on Texas 144 (Morgan St) to Glen Rose (about 13 miles)
• Stay on Texas 144 through Glen Rose (right on to main road at traffic light – follow US 67 for almost a mile – left on SW Barnard Street – left on Elm St)
• Continue on Texas 144 through Walnut Springs to Meridian (about 23 miles)
• At the traffic light in Meridian, turn right on Texas 22 for about ¾ mile
• Turn left on Texas 6
• Continue on Texas 6 through Clifton and Valley Mills to the intersection of I-35 just south of Waco (about 45 miles)
• Cross I-35 and stay on Texas 6 through Marlin, Calvert and Herne. (about 62 miles) Pass east of Bryan and College Station. (Texas 6 runs coincident with US 79 just north of Herne and coincident with US 209 for a while south of Herne.)
• Continue on Texas 6 through Navasota to US 290 (Hempstead Highway)
